As of late I am just a bit obsessed with oatmeal, I eat it most mornings and when I have any leftover I eat it as a snack in the afternoon as well. Somehow I never get tired of it! This bowl of oatmeal is a super easy way to get in lots of protein and healthy fats in the morning to get your day started off right!
High-Protein Oatmeal
A high-protein bowl of oatmeal that is SO delicious and satisfying, made in just 5 minutes!
Ingredients
Oatmeal
- 1/2 cup rolled oats 40g
- 1 tbs ground flax seed
- 1 tbs chia seed
- 1 tbs hemp seed
- 1 cup soy milk 230ml
- 1/2 banana, sliced
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings (optional)
- 1 tbs nut butter of choice I love peanut butter on oatmeal!
- 1/2 banana, sliced (can use any fruit you have on hand!)
- small handful blueberries
- 1 strawberry sliced
- 1-2 tbs agave syrup or maple syrup
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, add the oats, ground flax seed, chia seeds, hemp seeds, soy milk, vanilla, and 1/2 banana. Let cook over a medium heat uncovered, stirring occasionally. Add more soy milk or water if it gets too thick.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with fresh fruit, nut butter, and agave syrup. Enjoy while hot!
